Prepare Steam for a trade

Check public inventory, Steam Guard, restrictions and your trade URL before paying.

Required checklist

1. Open Profile → Edit Profile → Privacy Settings → Inventory → Public.
2. Configure Steam Guard and make sure Steam shows no trade restrictions. Steam may apply separate restriction periods after security changes.
3. Check for trade restrictions directly in Steam.
4. Copy the current trade URL from your trade-offer settings.
